The product

EzeFare is a complete B2B mobility platform for corporate employee transportation in India: companies schedule recurring shift transport, vendors supply fleets and drivers, employees track live rides, and a super-admin runs dispatch, billing and compliance from one console.

I architected and built the entire system solo — the NestJS API, the Next.js platform with five role-scoped dashboards (admin, client, vendor, driver, employee), and one Expo codebase that ships as two separate store apps. It runs in production behind CI/CD with signed store builds.

Under the hood

THE ENGINEERING

  • 01

Custom fare-pricing engine: vendor cost cards → percentile-based safe cost → risk buffer → per-service margins with capped demand multipliers — fully unit-tested

  • 02

Real-time GPS tracking over a dedicated Socket.IO namespace with server-side location buffering and an admin live-ops room

  • 03

Multi-stop route optimiser with ETA recompute, route-deviation detection and dispatch-distance scoring

  • 04

8 DB-configurable cron jobs: occurrence generation, vendor allocation, reliability scoring, notification digests

  • 05

Full financial ledger — client/vendor ledgers, invoice sequencing, PDF generation, payment reconciliation

  • 06

Safety layer: SOS alerts, OTP-verified pickups, trip incident severity tracking

  • 07

One Expo tree → two store identities (Driver / Employee) selected at build time; store-compliance features like public account deletion built in
